Our amazing team is led by Pastor J. Paul Bruhn. We are committed to the Wesleyan Way of helping others grow in Christ. We believe in the power of prayer and service, and we aim to make a positive impact in Hondo and around the globe through acts of compassion and kindness. We welcome all who seek to join us on this journey of faith, hope, and love.
Our mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community where individuals from all walks of life can come together to worship God, grow in faith, and serve others. Through our commitment to the teachings of Jesus Christ, we strive to foster spiritual growth and develop strong relationships with one another and with God.
Hondo Settlers organized the first church in 1857, where Methodist circuit riding ministers held services once per month in a log cabin on the banks of Hondo Creek. Our current congregation moved to this site in 1890. The older structures were replaced as the Hondo Methodist congregation grew. We maintain our heritage of ministries for our members and service to our community.
